1.  SUMMARY OF PROPOSED ACTIVITIES

 

  1. Organise at least one panel at GReCEST Conference in Addis.
  2. Organise a conference of GGKP Trade and Competitiveness Working Group incorporating GReCEST members
  3. Make MoU with a publisher of a good journal for a Special Issue of “Synergies and trade-offs between catching-up and decarbonisation”
  4. Use both conferences to get papers for the Special Issue
  5. Co-organise launch events of the upcoming UN/PAGE/DIE Report “Green Industrial Policy” with Working Group members.

4. Related Projects

 

At DIE we are pursuing a range of complementary activities, including various specialized research projects and a joint report with UN/PAGE on Green Industrial Policy. As ownership for the Green Transformation issue seems to be fairly weak so far among GReCEST members we will try to create synergies with other networks and bring more Green Transformation researchers into the network.

 

5. COLLABORATION WITH OTHER ENTITY

 

Synergies can be exploited in particular with GGKP Trade & Competitiveness Committee

DIE had a cooperation project with UN-ECLAC until 2016 in Industrial Policy, extension is currently negotiated => potential to bring more Latin American institutions into GReCEST
